The Picnic Boat operates on the beautiful River Dart in Devon. The river itself is steeped in history, abundant in wildlife and incredibly stunning in all seasons. We are licensed for 12 passengers. Memorably and accurately described as a shabby beach hut, The Winking Prawn is a much loved landmark on the North Sands Beach at Salcombe. Slightly eccentric, utterly relaxed and extremely busy, the Winking Prawn is open seven days a week in summer from 10.30am till 11.00pm. Out of season it’s open at weekends, half term and holidays. It’s so much fun to eat there that the garden is often full to its capacity of 180 and inside seats 60. Part of the fun is dressing up from the owners fancy dress chest and joining in the fun to create a great atmosphere.
